June 29, 2019:

Skye is an absolute joy to have in our family. She is like a breath of fresh air. Our other Golden is a fiery red head who was so lost when her sister passed away in November and is back to being like the three year old she should be with spunk. They get along so well and have fun like sisters should. Skye isn’t afraid to pick a fight for fun too. We laugh out loud at the two of them. I can’t say enough how grateful that we are that we were matched up with her. She goes to the dog park in Eau Claire every day and goes for a mile walk at night. She loves seeing other people and plays so well at the park. We just got our backyard fenced so she loves running free now in the back yard. I have to laugh at her every morning. She runs out of her crate, runs through our family room on our second floor, down the stairs and gets her leash off the table by the door, ready to go outside every morning.❤️🐾❤️🐾

Skye has found her forever home!!! She has a Golden sister and a mom and dad that haven’t laughed as much as they have seeing the two of them together. Our hearts are full and we can’t wait to see all of the adventures the four of us will have in the coming days and years!!! We will be forever grateful to GRRoW and choosing us as Skye’s forever family.

Skye has been in foster care about three weeks now and is doing great. She just saw the vet on Friday and is ready to find her forever home. Skye is working really hard on potty training, she goes to the door 100% of the time to let us know she needs to go out but if we don't catch it she will have an accident, she's still a baby after all. Skye is sleeping about 6-7 hours a night now and is crated at night and periodically through the day when she naps, although she'd much prefer to nap on your feet! Skye is also working on her commands, she knows sit and touch and we are working on wait! Skye is a typical Golden Puppy except that she does not chew on us like the others we've had, maybe that's because she has a foster brother to chew on? She lives with two cats and two other Goldens and gets along well with one of the goldens (the other is just crabby with her) Skye likes to chase the kitties if given the opportunity so we are working on her respecting the cats space. Skye loves our 5 yr grandson she mostly plays well with him and he with her. We have had her out as much as possible in this weather to meet people and other animals. Skye will need a family to continue socialization and training classes, she's smart and silly and sweet, we will miss her when she is adopted but we are so grateful to have been a part of her journey!

I am doing really well at my foster home, working really hard on crate and potty training. I now go to the door to go out but please be sure you catch my cue because I'm still a baby. I have a foster brother and sister. My foster brother plays with me a lot but my sister and I aren't friends yet, I'm trying really hard to win her over but she just walks away. Oh well at least I have one good friend here.

When I first got here I was so worried but I soon learned I was in a safe place. I had lots of toys only I wasn't to sure about them. I now know toys are fun and I really like to play fetch!
