May 22, 2015 Update:
Cooper was adopted on May 22 and is he a happy dog! He has joined a family with another young golden to play with and a senior to watch over them both. Congrats to Cooper.
April 16, 2015 Update:
Cooper got to volunteer with his fellow golden friend's at the Green Bay Pet Expo. He met lots new friends and got lots of treats. Everyone who met him loved his gentle and loving nature and he loved the attention. I don't know who had more fun him or all the kids he met. We also spent a fun filled weekend up in Tomahawk where he got to play all weekend with the resident dogs. We are working on jumping and the down command but sometimes it is just too exciting for Cooper. Speaking of excitement Cooper healed very well from his neuter surgery but then he tested positive for Lyme’s disease. We are in the process of treating him with antibiotics and once we have completed the course of antibiotics we will be in search of a forever home for this little love bug.
February 11, 2015 Update:
It’s been about two weeks since Mr. Cooper has been with us. He is very affectionate and loves to be by us to be petted. His desire to please has made it easy to train him. Just give him some attention or a treat and he is eager to learn. We are working on the down and stay commands now. He loves to be outside and playing. He is a chewer but loves toys- he chooses those over anything. Cooper has been to the vet for his initial exam and everything was fine except for an ear infection. He was back a week later for a re-check on his ear and to get his set of “puppy shots”. He will have one more trip to the vet at the beginning of March to get neutered. We will keep you updated about this happy puppy.
February 2, 2015 Update:
Cooper arrived at his foster home on January 25. For a five month old puppy, he is pretty calm. He is settling in very well with the resident dog and cat. Stay tuned for more adventures with this happy puppy!
