Adoption Date: 8/16/2019
August 20, 2019:
Her foster home was sad to say goodbye but we are thrilled that Shasta has found her forever home. This beautiful girl melted every heart that she met along her GRRoW journey. We'll give her time to settle into her new place and will provide an update soon on how she is doing.
July 14, 2019:
Shasta has been with her foster home for a month now and is doing great. She had some minor health issues to be addressed. She had a couple of small tumors that needed removing and has also been diagnosed with hypo-thyroidism. That likely explains her low energy level. She recovered quickly from her surgery and is now on a low dose thyroid medicine which will likely give her a bit more energy. Her prognosis is excellent. Her coat is starting to grow back from her summer trim and it looks like she is going to be a beautiful light honey color. She still doesn't have any interest in toys but enjoys short walks and loves being part of the pack. She gets along well with her foster brother and sister dogs. We have learned that she doesn't like thunderstorms or fireworks so we are happy that the fourth of July festivities are over. She is quite the love bug and is super happy to just be near her foster parents and loves being pet.
June 26, 2019:
We welcomed Shasta into the GRRoW family in June. She is a six year old female with a heart of gold. Her coat has been shaved for the summer but she has beautiful coloring and is a classic pure bred golden. She has adjusted well to her new foster home and is extremely easy going. She enjoys going on walks and rolling in the grass. She will have a full medical review to determine if there are any health issues. She doesn't care much for toys. Her favorite past time is sitting contently while being pet.
