December 11, 2016:
Soon after he was adopted, Champ got ver sick very quickly. He crossed the bridge on October 10. He touched a lot of lives very deeply in a short period of time.
October 10, 2016:
Champ has been adopted and is living the high life in northern WI. He gets to go swimming (that's a first for him!) and gets tons of love and attention from his new humans. Another happy ending!
August 24th, 2016:
Champ is doing great with me! He’s been here 2.5 weeks and gets more and more playful everyday. His latest antic is to toss a ball in the air and pounce on it repeatedly. He can entertain himself endlessly with this silly game. After getting my hands on more paperwork, it would appear that Champ is only 6. This is more consistent with his activity level! He is a gentle boy who is good with little kids and other dogs. He also lived with cats in his old home. Champ has been to the vet. He’s a healthy boy (blood work is great!). Last week he was neutered and next week he will have some dental work done to extract some broken teeth and to get a much needed cleaning. Once he recovers from that, he’ll be good to go! He’s not had a lot of experience leash walking, but he gets better every day and he loves to get out and about in the neighborhood. Champ would do best in a home where he can get a lot of attention from his new human(s). He is starting to play with the resident Golden and does very well (he’s on the submissive side). He was surrendered with his buddy Heidi, but they do not need to be placed together.
August 7th, 2016:
Champ and Heidi are a bonded pair who were surrendered to GRoW on Friday 8/5/16. They are both settling into their foster home nicely. I can already report Champ is a very sweet boy who will be loved by anyone who meets him! Stay tuned for updates in the coming days.
