Reina did not think twice as she jumped into her new forever home’s car for her ride home. Once home, we changed her name to Rainier. She loves her new BFF, another older and wiser golden sister. She discovered squirrels and birds also live around our home so she acclimated well and enjoys the great outdoors. She loves to jog with us and to work on her commands, especially drop, as those positive words are always there for a reward. Rainier has an official dog park permit now. She loves trips in the car and watched us pick strawberries during her settling in time. In the heat, she loves the water and then really enjoys bedding down with the kids to read, watch TV or a movie. Rainier loves doing everything with the family and enjoys both the kids and dog companionship. We even joke that she is ready for skijoring as her leash skills are a work in progress! Rainier loves to cuddle with the kids and we always know where to find her. She enjoys basketball and is curious about the new things she discovers. We can’t imagine our family without her. Thank you GRRoW.
Wally is AWESOME! He wants to play catch all day long. He is a "master" at catching balls in the air or on the first bounce. He enjoys going to our cottage & swimming in the lake! We can't keep him out of the water. Here is a picture of a "wet Wally" at our cottage.
Bandit has settled in beautifully. He is the sweetest, most lovable boy. He LOVES the lake and has been patrolling our shoreline, protecting us from ducks. He has claimed our bay as his own and barks if any of our neighbors dare to go out in their boat. He met our daughter's 6 month old Burmese Mountain Dog and there was one minor growly moment and everything has been fine since. We went for a 2.5 mile walk and he (and the puppy) were worn out! Thank you so much for choosing us for Bandit, I feel like a piece of my heart is back in place. We love him!
Maggie went to her new home on June 3rd. She has settled in nicely.
Elias has been adopted!!
Great news to share! Buddy has been adopted! So happy for all of them and wish them the very best!
Sahara has found her forever home with golden sisters to play with. Her allergies are now being maintained. It took a while to find the right things to do, but she is now a happy healthy five year old girl. She loves playing with her tennis ball. She gently returns it to the thrower so you can keep doing it again and again. She loves to swim - she has gone in a pool and swims like a champ. She will cry and run in circles when you come home for the day. She is very happy and is very much loved by her new family. Welcome home Sahara.
Hannah was adopted by a family with two children and another older golden retriever. She has adapted well and is a typical young lady in her new home.
Ditka has been adopted!
May 25th, 2016:
Ditka makes us laugh every day and also tries our patience, but he is still a puppy after all! We started dog training classes last week and he did really good, and we went to the Sauk County Humane Society annual Paws Walk and Festival. He got to meet lots of other dogs and people too! He did great, and got lots of attention and everyone fell in love with him. He is learning lots of new stuff, especially how to be more patient and calm. He is loving his fenced in back yard and the baby pool for him to cool off in. He mastered our steep stairs to the basement this weekend and now likes to go downstairs where it is nice a cool! He knows he has found his forever home!
Gabby is officially adopted and is another GRRoW success! She is living the high life with her new family where she is the only dog and is showered with love and attention. She gets lots of play time, lots of walks, and even gets to go up north where she can enjoy the Great North Woods on a regular basis.
Daisy is doing very well! She's had a few health issues since we got her, but she continues to truck along. We just love her! She is such a sweet soul and she's really brought so much joy to our family. We found out we were pregnant shortly after we got her and thankfully, she does fantastic with our 13 month old daughter! They're definitely buddies! We of course included her in our family photos recently!
Thanks so much for checking in with us! We're truly so thankful to GRRoW for bringing Daisy into our lives. We couldn't ask for a better dog!

Minty found her forever home.
Comet was adopted on 3/25/2016 by his foster home. This senior has been bounced around a bit in his long life but has found a happy place enjoy himself.
Chester is doing great. I have started taking him running with me in the mornings – he has a lot of energy and has no trouble keeping up. He gets very excited when he sees the leash and harness! Chester likes to play fetch with just about anything. He just got a new soft Frisbee and can jump quite high to get it. He plays well with the kids, and has even come to like the cats. His adjustment into our home has gone remarkably well. We are very thankful to have found Chester, and are very grateful to GRRoW for bringing us together.

Dashung now known as Dax has been a great addition to our family. He quickly acclimated to our house and loves his new human brother and sister and his doggy sister. He loves sleeping on the couch, getting his num nums and running around with the kids. DAX is the sweetest most loving dog and we couldn't be happier. We are so thankful to grrow for bringing him into our family.
