Brandy came to us a week ago and is settling in nicely. We noticed she was drinking a lot, so we brought her to the vet to have her checked for diabetes and get updated on shots. Luckily she doesn’t have diabetes, but she will be going back next week for an ultrasound to check for some other concerns with her bloodwork. She is being treated for an ear infection and is also deaf.
Though Brandy gravitates more toward people than dogs, she gets along great with our four-legged crew (maybe they aren’t as good at petting her as we are). We are taking her to an event this weekend and are looking forward to seeing her interact with people other than us.
We tried to take a picture of Brandy, but she would sit until we were ready to snap the picture and then come toward us. Hopefully we’ll be able to snap some during the event where she’s a little more distracted.
Brandy begins each walk with exuberance, but by the end, there isn’t any tension in the leash. She would like to chase all the rabbits she sees.
Brandy’s a sweet girl and is very easy going. Her personality is starting to come out as she becomes more comfortable with us. Yesterday, she stood in the doorway with a tennis ball in her mouth and gave a playful growl. We can’t wait to get to know her better!
