I've had Hannah for one week now. She is a sweet little girl who has had a rough time. She is seven years old and has a number of issues both physical and emotional. She has pain in her joints from possible arthritis, very poor skin and coat quality, and a nasty ear infection. She also needs to be spayed. She came to us fearful of many things including people, new places, and, strangely enough, being outside. Although she is very gentle and easy to handle, she does not accept affection from others without hesitation and fear. With proper care and time she can overcome these problems, and she has made tremendous progress in the last week. She has made friends with her foster sister and is learning to play like a dog for perhaps the first time. She has learned to love being outside with her sister and has made significant progress in the potty-training department. She is also making progress in accepting the love she deserves. It may take a little time but I believe eventually Hannah will make a great addition to the right family.
