Summer has been adopted. She loves walks and is learning to pull less; it's hard when the weather is so nice and there is a lot to sniff! Recent visits to the vet have confirmed she is a healthy and spry girl for an eight year old. Her coat has softened and lengthened, probably due to a different food and outgrowth from earlier this winter. She is affectionate and snuggly, especially first thing in the morning and at night time. We know when it is bedtime because she likes to play a few rounds of fetch with the tennis balls before finding a spot on the couch to fall asleep. Outside, the backyard has the perimeter patrolled regularly, and Summer likes to be the early warning alert, with nary a visitor or passerby escaping a good round of barking. She does not appear to be a fan of smaller dogs. She is not aggressive, she just doesn't seem to have the patience for them. She is continuing to work on becoming desensitized to car rides lasting longer than fifteen minutes.
