Chloe has had a very busy several weeks in GRRoW. With 2 young kids and another dog, Chloe’s first foster home proved to be too ‘high-energy’ and stressful for Chloe, so she moved to another quieter foster home. Her new foster mom immediately fell in love with her snuggly ways and wanted to adopt Chloe, but then some unexpected changes happened and adoption was no longer an option. Chloe is now in a foster home with no dogs and no kids: She is the center of attention and she is thriving. Chloe’s “likes” are pretty simple. She is a sweet girl who loves to snuggle and get attention from her human. She LOVES her tug toy and will adore you if you play along with her. Walks are fun and treats are always welcome. Chloe would prefer to be an only dog. She is not fond of other dogs, although she is working on her dog-dog skills and making much progress. We have also gotten a better handle on Chloe’s “dislikes”: She does not like having her nails trimmed or taking a bath, nor does she like going to the vet. She also doesn’t like to be disturbed when she’s sleeping or having a favorite toy taken away. These are situations that have caused her to growl. When we listen to her letting us know she does not like these things, she quickly relaxes and all is well. Chloe is current on her vaccinations and was spayed a couple of weeks ago. We continue to work on her dog-dog skills and helping her learn to be more relaxed at the vet clinic. She is showing great strides in both areas. Stay tuned for updates on Chloe’s progress!
