Gary and I want to thank everyone at GRRoW for bringing Brandy into our lives. She was the sweetest girl, making herself at home from the day she stepped foot (paw) into our home. She was my constant companion, friend, confidant, and I could not have asked for a better friend than her. In the short time she was with us, she enjoyed many camping adventures, but her favorite thing was taking her spot on the couch after lounging in the screen room! She was loved so very much, soaked up being spoiled, and enjoyed her evening massages while watching TV. Everyone who met her absolutely fell in love with her sweet disposition and those soulful big brown eyes. And of course, the lean! How can you not pet her when she would lean against you, rest her head on your knee and look at you?!?!?
Unfortunately her health took a turn for the worse about 7 months ago. After being diagnosed with diabetes requiring twice daily insulin shots, she lost her sight shortly after that. She managed though very well, with giving her sounds cues she never missed a step getting around the house, still loved rolling in the grass and following me into the kitchen. Last week her stomach became very distended and it was determined that her heart was failing her so we had to make the decision to end her journey with us.
I picked up her ashes today and they have a prominent place on my desk. I loved her so much and cannot ever thank God enough for bringing her to us.
Thank you again,
Gary and Sue
