September 11, 2019:
Rosie is doing very well in foster care! At times she sits and looks out the window and we swear that she can still see. We are always amazed at how well she moves around the house and yard. She also moves in between the trees in the woods with ease...she is amazing. Stairs are also no problem. This is one little blind girl that just doesn't give up. She enjoys life to its fullest and is full of surprises.

Meet Rosie! She is a 4 year old purebred Golden "curly redhead". She suddenly became blind due to sudden acquired retinal degeneration syndrome (SARDS). There is no cure. She has a very acute sense of hearing and a good sense of direction. Rosie has learned the layout of our home in just a couple of days. It's amazing how easily she gets around. She is curious, confident and very loving. Rosie loves people - she will go up to anyone who gives her attention. She loves riding in the car and loves her toys (especially her squeaky rubber pig).
Rosie gets along well with cats and dogs. She is currently living with 3 Golden's in her foster home and has previously lived in harmony with a cat.
Rosie is a little overweight and needs to lose about 10 more pounds, but is doing well on her diet. She has not been spayed, due to higher risk of surgery for an overweight dog. Once she loses the weight she can be spayed. Rosie is a sweetheart and deserves a special forever home!
