Updates:

February 3rd, 2018:

Lily is doing very well for being an old lady. Her nick name is grandma in this house hold. She is rather spicy and will collect all the kongs in the house and put them on her bed. When another dog tries to walk by she growls at them. SO far they all turn around and leave her alone. I would say she is the alpha in this house from her favorite spot, her dog bed. She will lay on her dog bed in the bedroom and bark to try to get us to come to her and give her attention. She goes on strolls around our property and went on about a 2 block walk the other night. Today I took her to Boston Store and for an old lady she did really well. I have to also add she is one of the most healthy goldens I have ever had!!

October 17, 2017:

Lily is doing wonderfully. She spends most of her time on her dog bed in our bedroom. She will bark from there to have us come to see her instead of her coming out to see us. She even likes to eat laying on her bed. Her energy level has dropped since I first got her. I try to get her to walk around the yard and the other day she came back covered in a dead animal smell. She went into the tub immediately.

August 13, 2017:

Lily is doing very well. She is on Claritin for her allergies and it is helping a lot. She isn't chewing on her feet as much. She spent five days at another GRRoW volunteer's home while I was on vacation. She did very well, however, she does not like cats licking her face or eyes. Barb also said that when her cat ran outside Lily took after it. Apparently, she likes a good chase. We went for a short walk tonight and she did very well. She loves to wander around our property sniffing everything. She has her bed in our bedroom and it is her spot to sleep during the day and night.

June 28, 2017:

Lily came in with her "husband" Chewy. Lily was in desperate need of a brushing. We filled one plastic grocery bag on the first brushing. We are brushing her every day to get out the thick under coat. She will be getting a hair trim shortly and a bath. She is very itchy. She is doing very well and gets along with all the dogs. She does bark when she wants to come in from outside. She is slow to figure out the dog door. She really wants to chase the chickens and shows a lot of interest in them.
