September 19, 2019:

Grandma Jena is doing great!!!! Her blood work and Thyroid tests all came back normal. She is quite the talker and when she is excited she has lots to say. She has lost some weight already and she does not eat very much at all. She loves to be outside in the back yard with all the dogs. She follows me around everywhere and if I am outside she is watching me out the window. She is on Carprofen for her arthritis and it is helping a lot. She has become quite active and runs around. She even plays with Scooby and toys. She did very well on a walk and really enjoyed it. She is still on medication for her skin infection and it looks to be getting better. Her ears look good too. She was super itchy and pretty much chewing herself constantly. I tried Benedryl and it did not help at all. She is now on Apoquel and it has made a huge difference. This lady loves to be loved and wants to be petted all the time. She will make someone a great companion.

September 5, 2019:
Jena is a sweet heart. She is very chill. The first day she did not want to come into the house much and preferred to lay on the concrete. She now loves to lay in the grass and likes to be in the house. She explores all the rooms and likes to sleep in the office. She has most of her hair cut off due to extreme matting. She is being treated for an ear infection and had a bath. She hated the bath and it took quite a bit to get her in the shower. She laid down in the shower and the water backed up because she was over the drain. She does not like to do the stairs and struggles so she learned the ramp quickly. She has also learned how to use the dog door. She is house trained and very low key. Appears to have some arthritis. She goes to the vet on Friday for a check up. She is now barking at me when she is excited and loves to be petted. She came in with Scooby.
